There are so many good things happening this month! Not only is our SPRING LAUNCH happening on Thursday (March 3rd!), but our 2nd Fabric Collection, "Garden & Globe", with Cotton+Steel is shipping to stores! One of the other things I love about March is that Atlanta is in full bloom with one of my favorite flowers - daffodils! In my childhood backyard, we had a huge hedge of them that would bloom every Spring - they are some of my Mom's favorite flowers too :)

My inspiration for this month's illustration was Pantone's Color of the Year: Very-Peri! I wanted to create an illustration that evoked the transition from winter to early Spring, and I hope you will enjoy it! ;) What do you think of Very-Peri? Are you a fan? It's growing on me!

This month's illustration is a festive tribute to holiday florals and greenery, one of my favorite things to draw! Did you know that 90% of the work I illustrate at Paper Raven Co. is themed for winter holidays? I spend most of my year (even Spring and Summer!) drawing Santas, Menorahs, Snowflakes and Christmas Trees! So it's extra fun when we finally get to December and playing Christmas music is acceptable. But sometimes when you have a big project, you just have to get into the spirit in July ;)

Wow, it sure is hot in Atlanta right now, folx! I hope you are having a wonderful start to July, and finding some way to relax and beat the heat. I'm ready to break out our pool (we have a Minnidip!), my suit and some refreshing beverages, that's for sure. Since we're growing a modest plethora of garden veggies, flora and fauna in our backyard, I wanted this month's wallpaper to be a tribute to our growing garden. Also, did I mention that we bought our home?! Woo hoo!

It has been a very busy Spring over here at Paper Raven Co. Springtime always brings new projects and new clients that are always fun to work with, and I'm excited to share some of the products I've designed very soon!
